Specialist Crafts Easy Etch Starter Kit

If you're new to intaglio printing then "Easy Etch" is the perfect solution! It's a cost effective way of understanding the processes of etching without expensive plates. The etching is done on micro-porous film which is easier to carve and will provide multiple prints from just one plate. Cut shapes or inscribe lines into the film using a craft knife or etching tool with light pressure, ensuring not to cut all the way through.

Apply a light covering of etching ink, blending colours if required, then wipe off excess with scrim and print onto damp cartridge paper. Using a press creates better impressions but just using a clean printing roller on the back of the plate will transfer an image.

This kit includes: 20 sheets of micro-porous film, 5 assorted etching inks, 5 inking rollers, 2 metres of scrim, 25 pieces of designer cartridge paper, 15 pieces of couching cloth, 500ml Clean Up Oil, 25 pairs of protective gloves and an information sheet.
